   Wow, that's a multifaceted question. Some dogs don't even like toys while others may obsess over them and everything in between. One thing is for sure. Make sure whatever toy you get for your dog is tough enough that they can't tear it up and ingest parts of it. Many dog toys are made from indigestible or toxic materials if swallowed. Our veterinarian has plenty of stories and x-rays to demonstrate this.
   Our morkie is small and he loves squeaky toys. He's nuts about them and plots to interrupt our phone calls and conversations by squeaking them as loud and as fast as possible when we're on the phone or visiting with friends. He'll play all alone and entertain himself for quite a long time without any prompting but he gets into it even more if you ask him 'where's your fish Jo' or 'get the chicken'. He has about 10 different ones and knows which is which. Roxi and Rambo both play with toys but only if we play too. And their attention span is short. But the fun part comes if we get them wound up and then tell them to get each other. Roxi the world's most gentle Rat Terrier and Rambo, the world's toughest Maltese never hurt each other but their antics and growling are a ton of fun to watch.

   I believe it depends on the dog, how old the dog is, their play drive and how destructive they are.  We have a Leonberger (very large dog) and he carries around a giant stuffed teddy bear most of the time.  We have a lab that will play with toys then end up tearing the soft one apart. 
   
   It just depends on the kind of dog and what they enjoy playing with.  We have always provided stuffed animals for puppies because they love to cuddle and are used to sleeping in a pile when they were still with their mom.  So the stuffed animal can be very comforting for them.

   It really does depend on what kind of dog you have. I have a chinese crested dog and she loves the toys that look like stuffed animals with a sqeaker inside. She does not ruin any of her toys so she has never been able to get the sqeaker out but i have heard of dogs that have. The squeaker is small enough for a dog to choke on so keep an eye on your dog if its chewing and tearing the toy. i check my dogs favorite toys regularly to make sure there arent any rips. She does not like those rubber type of toys because they squeak loud and she is scared of them.
   If your dog is small you can get smaller toys but not small enough to fit in their whole mouth. Just try buying different kinds of toys by watching your dog play with the toys you will be able to see which kind they prefer.

   Most of my dogs have loved the plush toys but they were not always safe. Most of my dogs have been aggressive chewers and tore up the plush toys within minutes. The best and most durable plush toys have been the Tuffy's. Yes, an aggressive chewer can still chew them to pieces but it takes a lot longer. My dogs have an octopus Tuffy and they tore all the stuffing out of the body. But all eight arms still have stuffing and the squeakers. They also have a gear-shaped Tuffy and they have yet to tear a hole in this one. They've had it almost a year now!

   It depend upon the dog age, health and its interest .. So please avoid that type of food those are not good for its health and make him worried....
