What do you prefer? Stock pictures or pictures taken by the authors of the hubs you read and why?
I take tons of pictures, and I think that stock pictures are ok, but I think it is much more personal for hubbers to take their own pics of things that are mostly about do it yourself topics like cooking and growing.. what do you think?
well, my hubs are mostly about photography, so my answer is obvious... I think most people can take a fine picture and use it instead of using stock pictures.
I totally agree with you, skyblugurll. Even though I am also a stock photographer and love to sell my photos, lol, I do like hubs with the hubber's own photos better. It doesn't matter if the photos are not of professional quality, it's far more personal and interesting than someone else's better photo.
I think it goes both ways. If I have the ability to take a photo for a graphic that I am looking for, I would prefer to use my own photography.
Yet, sometimes, the pictures you can find off the internet are just perfect and I am feeling lazy and don't feel like working with my own photography.
I love using my own photos, and I like seeing the personal photos of others. But there are definitely times when you need a photo that you can't take yourself, so stock will do in those instances.
Thanks for answering my question!! I don't always take the best pictures, but I do try!!
I always try to use my own photos. I take the photos anyway, so why not share them?

Do you use your own pictures in hubs?Do you use photos of yourself, your family, your friends, or anything else from your personal life? Or do you search the internet for pictures that match the subject you are writing about? What is your reasoning behind your decision?

Are you comfortable with posting photos of your children and family in your hubs? I am asking...because I believe it is too personal for me to share with the world.

What style of creative or personal hubs do you prefer? When you read hubs written about a person's life or observations, do you like the hub to be humorous, heart-wrenching, dramatic, sassy, or straight-forward "journal-style"?

Are we allowed to have watermarked pictures in our hubs?I'm confused. When I look at what makes a hub featured, it clearly states, legally obtained, no watermarks. In addition, when I made my own eternal on some of my personal photos, I was told I couldn't use them. Do why do I see hubs with...

Are you likely to "follow" someone who doesn't have a profile picture posted?

When our hubs were once chosen, we had a way to see what was supposed to be fixed before it appeared on a niche site. Now I don't see anything like that. It could be me, but there was a way to see what they wanted added or deleted. It's very frustrating. Yesterday I was told my hub on Zeus, the...
