How to add backlinks to your hubs along with the benefits + my own success with them.

Updated on December 19, 2011

Intro

In this hub i will talk about the benefits of using backlinks, how to add inks to your other hubs, and my personal success and why i suggest it.

Backlinks

So first ill talk about my success with these. When i first started with hubpages i was like everyone else just starting out, and had no idea what these were or how they could help. I also thought that they might add a few more views but would not be that effective. Once i started to add links to my other similar hubs for my video game posts that is when i really started to see my success. I noticed that if i was getting 250 views a day, then 75 of those were from my backlinks or links from my other hubs. SO that about a quarter of my views coming solely from my cross links and backlinks. That only increased as my views per day increased.

How to add those links. When you are editing your hubs or creating your hubs, on the left side you should see "links". Here you will be able to add links, either from any website, or from your hubs. This is where i add my hubpages links, along with a small description, and new title. It typically is not best to use your original title of the hub, but to re-write the title on the link section so that it is shorter, and will be right to the point for your readers. For instance if your title is "how to add backlinks to your hubs easily, and efficiently" then a good re-written title would be " easily adding backlinks". This allows your reader to know right up front what he is getting into reading very quickly, and what your hub would be about.

So now how to successfully add back links to increase your views to their fullest potential. When you are writing a post, after you do a brief intro, i would say adding your links to your hubs that are similar to the rest of your hub. Start off by adding anything that would help explain things in your hub that you do not want to explain, and refer people to those links for reference. This will increase your traffic back and forth between hubs.

Also adding to the end of you selection. Do not add lots and lots of cross links throughout your whole article that are unnecessary because it will make people choose not to go to your backlinks rather than using them to help better understand your topic. So use them sparingly. When you get to the end of your article, here is where i suggest adding a few backlinks that would help your readers understand everything about your topic, or anything that would be interesting or similar to your topic. Keep in mind that if your writing about video games you should not post links to hubs about poetry as this will not be appealing to adding other video game links in your hubs. Use common sense when choosing your links as you are trying to generate more money for yourself.

So that is my little take on backlinks. I feel that i have had success with these, and hopefully you will too. If you have questions please feel free to comment.
