    Negative views?

Yes, I know that the best place to check my traffic is with Google analytics.  Thanks.

My question is how can I be showing -1 view from Reddit.com today on Hubpages traffic sources.  Getting a negative, or a vacuum of views or traffic surely has to be a novelty in both time and space.

    How is this possible?

Google analytics is one day behind... Other than that, I have no idea...

I think it's something new.  This has been discussed in forums too.  I also had a -1 on google.co.in the other day but yesterday I had 3 views from Indonesia and right now it's showing 6. Yay!  I think it's like the blue triangles in our account page, showing that views are down.  So I must have had 0 views from my friends in Indonesia the day before I got -1.  That's the only explanation I could think of.  Others have had up to -4!

After 6 months I'm still learning. I receive a lot of views, very few comments and no dinero!  The hype when you join Hubpages is make money on anything you wish to write about. I have written Poems, Short Stories, Articles about various subjects, True stories, etc. Have no idea what additional subjects to follow. I have more poetry, but not sure if I want to bother!

Hey Bob Francis, I've made a little bit of money here, but not an amout to brag about.

I just thought that I'd tell you, creative writing doesn't seem to do well here at all. . . .that's not true.  It doesn't make as much money as other types of articles.

Keep at it, but it's hard work, for sure.

If you want to make money you are going to have to write about stuff that people may want to buy, for instance if you write a recipe you can include a link to the cookware you used to create your culinary masterpiece.

If you write a book review then you can add an amazon link with related books or even unrelated books.

Now one thing that helps to get comments is to create a little controversy as folks always love to argue and express their opinions. One of the best ways is to create a title that will instantly create controversy.

However most people may click on your hub find it boring or too long, or just simple formatted in such a way that makes reading it difficult and only stay a short period of time.

The longer they stay on your hub the better as they may click on related ads and since most peoples attention span is that of a gnat, break up your hub into very small paragraphs, as I've done with this answer, it's easier to read.

Including polls and questions help and use many links. My two best articles in terms of money, readers and comments have been due to content, controversy and advertising of the hub.

So if you have a good one post a link on Yahoo News, facebook or twitter and any other social site you can think of.

However the best way is to learn from your mistakes, take suggestions and become the best writer and content formatter you can be.

Also if you read other peoples hubs and leave a comment most people will return the favor, unless your name is Justom or Watkins in which case your probable not doing yourself a favor.
