Is it a Hubpages (or any other) to click on ads in other hubbers' articles?
I often see ads about products and services I'm interested in as I read the hubs written by others. I just haven't been sure if I can click these or even purchase from them. It seems that would be the point of the ads, but I don't want to violate any rules. Lady Guinevere seems to ask a question in a way that says you can't. Could anyone clarify?
Oops! I left out the important word "violation" in my question Is it a Hubpages violation...
My understanding is that if you're genuinely interested in getting more information about the ad or the company putting out the ad, there shouldn't be a problem. My understanding is that Google Ads has a policy about asking people to just click on the ads but the purpose of the ads really are to measure interest and connect potential customers with the services and products that are out there.
No, Hubbers cannot click on other Hubbers ads. Paul Deeds said that in a forum posting that it was a no no
I think one cannot click on another hubbers' ads nor on one's own.
It's a very bad idea. It's not only bad because Google could see it as hubbers 'helping each other out' but you could inadvertently click on one of your own ads on another user's hub. (Yep, your ads can sometimes appear on other users' hubs... think ref urls.)

I ask this because I honestly don't remember ever clicking on one. I read what I want from the page and when I am done click the back button to get back to the search, unless it's a blog. Then I sometimes click the links to their other posts. Maybe I'm not an average internet user? I see the word...

Hi! I know they told us not to have out family or friends click our ads just to help us make money. But my brother was reading one of my hubs and he was interested in the Amazon ad products. He was afraid to click them, but is that ok, if they are genuinely interested? Thanks,Sheila

I just went through all people I have been following and purged the ones that have no articles and no activity. I am quite surprised to see how many people have left HubPages over the years and I wonder what made them leave in the first place. I understand the volatility of writing online but there...

I write mainly for my own enjoyment...just to see if I can do it.If ya publish and no one reads and comments, what's the purpose in publishing?Or if some read and don't respond, I see that lots on my stuff, what's the incentive to write hubs and publish? Is it just ego? i.e. "Hey I'm a...

I know we are all here to make some money, but having 10 ads on a page slows down loading time to such an extent that readers just don't have the patience to wait for a page to load. So they click away without reading our pages. To prove my point that the very high number of ads is to...
