As a Hubpages writer, do your feel you've reached success yet, why or why not?
Please explain in great detail from your true lived experiences on hubpages, why you either feel that you've become successful as a hubpages writer or why haven't you. If your fairly new to hubpages this question may not apply to you, so experienced hubbers only. (3 months+)
Actually,Yes! Two Years ago when I literally tripped over HP in a Google Search for something else, I knew that I could write. But could I write really good stuff? About lots of things? I wasn't sure of myself or my work.
HP gave me the opportunity to write, rewrite, rewrite, and rewrite, until I could read my stuff after it got cold and didn't make me blush with shame.
And, at the same time, it gave me the opportunity to explore other HPers writings and learn even more about myself.
So, am I a success? I am a Genius in my own eyes!
Am I making money? Now that's another story in itself. I make enough for my wife and I go out for a Dinner and a decent bottle of wine occasionally.
HMMMMMM!
Being able to thrive in the past three months is already a successful Hubpages endeavor for me. Like what you said to me before, I just have to enjoy and take things at my own pace. I took your advice quite seriously, and here I am... so hooked with Hubpages and happy.
Hubpages also made me discover my passion for writing. I never even thought I'd land on a writing job because of HP. This site provides me continuous training in writing which I know I could benefit in the long run.
Now that for me is success.
I write for a living and only came to Hubpages as a place where I could write about anything I wanted to write about and have a few people read what I had to say. This was at a time when my blogs were getting about 5 accidental readers a week. Now I get much more traffic on my blogs per month than I've gotten on Hubpages in the whole time I've been here, so in that respect I'm disappointed. I also earn a pittance here compared to my travel blog. I think I've earned a total of $5 on Hubpages. In contrast, I've earned $70 in the 3 months I've been advertising hotels on my blog. Nothing to get excited about, but gratifying nonetheless.
On the upside, Hubpages has become like a social media site for me. I've met some really interesting people here and enjoy reading and commenting on their work.

Hey Guys! I was just wondering if anyone has a clue to who is the most prolific writer here on HP? I'm talking sheer volume, as in who has the most published hubs on the platform. I'm familiar with Patty Inglish, and I know that she has close to 2,200 hubs, I'm just wondering if anyone...

Do drops in traffic discourage you as a Hubpages writer?Or does less traffic motivate you to write more good-quality hubs?

If you have reached the required $50 threshold on the HubPages Ad Program, good for you. Now what to do with that now?Well I'd wait on impulse purchases online (I use PayPal for some of them) for at least 24 hours. Then I'd set a budget to spend part of the earnings. I'd set aside $20-$30 for a...
