What to do when someone copies and takes credit for your writing?
My last hub was about lightning, and another hubber let me know it had been copied to another site-- and given a new author! I wrote the site and told them to remove my work and send me an explanatory email immediately. Is there anything else I can do?
Just keep an eye on it and see what happens. If they take it down, then don't do anything more. If they don't, look at things like opening a case with a government about copyright violations or whatever.
The same thing happened to me the first year I joined Hub Pages. Another Hubber plagiarized an article of mine and posted it right here within our community. I happened to stumble over it by accident and reported it to the powers that be here on HP. I am proud to say the problem was handled professionally and quickly. I believe the offender was suspended for a mandatory period. I was satisfied, but it does happen. Sorry it happened to you. Don't despair. Imitation is the best flattery, except when it comes to someone taking one of your ideas and your accolades.
yes do a "whois" search on the site in question and this will tell you who the web hosting company is. Report the violation to their hosting company. If they have Adsense ads on their site file a complaint with Google as well.

This takes the reader away from your site as they feel that it is fictitious...

Hi fellow Hubbers! I've been hubbing here at HubPages since year 2010 and I just can't believe that I haven't earn anything from my published articles since then, not a single cent! There's obviously something wrong. Any ideas? Please help! Thanks.

Janderson posted something really important yesterday which I think everybody here needs to read http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/132621#post2759379.If he is correct in his assumptions (which it appears he might be), it is time for all of us to start making copies of all of our hubs (if we are...

I know this is old news, and if it has already been discussed in the forums I apologize; but did y'all hear that Amazon, at the behest of a publisher, DELETED downloaded copies of Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farm that folk had bought and paid for? I was going to put a Kindle on my wish list --...
