What is more important for getting traffic? Number of hubs or SEO/back links etc?
Just curious. Obviously I have some hubs that can get Google traffic on their own but I really don't understand why they do better than others. I'm wondering what would be a better use of time- writing more or promoting and optimising the ones I have?
Both are important. Other factors are tags and the words in your title. You can also promote your hubs on third party sites such as trafficadbar.com (it's free) or reddit.com (if you can get it to work!). Good luck!
trafficadbar looks like a form of traffic exchange and if you're caught, you could get banned from HubPages and lose your Adsense account, so I do hope you are not using it yourself
Analyse the reasons why your successful Hubs do better than others. Look at your Hub metrics section to see what keywords people are using to find your Hubs.
People are simply not looking for some subjects on Google - if that's the case, no amount of optimizing or tweaking will draw readers. Nor will promotion do any good.
Your sub-domain is like your own website, and Google doesn't like small websites - so writing more Hubs to get your sub-domain up to a more impressive size will help.
And don't touch trafficadbar - it sounds like a traffic exchange, which is against Adsense TOS and will get you banned.

I noticed that when I checked my backlinks all of the ones from hubpages were 'nofollow' links. Should this be the case? (I've written several articles and I'd hate not to be getting the most out of them.) Or do I need to change something in the HTML coding linking the anchor text to my website? If...

First, I want to apologize if you've heard this question a 1000 times before, but I'd be grateful if you could advise me from your experience. If I was to publish a large number of hubs across various topics, each targeting a well researched keyword/s, is it realistic to aim for an average daily...

I am starting this suggestion here in hopes that staff will see it. Many of us have suddenly found large numbers of our hubs unfeatured for quality within the past 24 hours. Myself it has his 17 of my 221 hubs in my Squidoo-transfered account (this one), none in my other account. Some of the hubs...

I have noticed in recent days that an increasing number of my hubs are no longer being featured. I have also noted that much of my best work was never featured at all. What can account for this?

I rarely complain and try to be as polite as possible. However, there are some things that sometimes really confuse me and I struggle to understand how HP works. For example I recently came upon hubs that struggle (at best) with the use of the English language. The author has very few hubs (two...
