    Is traffic related to quantity?

I've been on hubpages for a little over 2 weeks, and have been quite literally posting 1 to 2 hubs each day, garnishing me almost 1000 views total so far. But, I hear of people who would cry if they only got 1000 views per day, so I was wondering if it just takes some 'aging' before your hubs take off or if there is some other reason.

It does take time before your hub gets some love from the search engines, provided you do SEO. People who cry when they get 1k views might have seen a huge decline in traffic, or they just don't realize their mistakes or lack of understanding of SEO, backlinks, promoting articles, etc.

I think quality is more important than quantity.  So many things go into determining the amount of traffic you'll receive so it is very difficult to point to any one thing that will drive traffic except for quality content.

As you stay here longer and collect more stats you will find that about 20% of your hubs will generate about 80% of your traffic.

Wow, you're certainly getting a lot of views then! I'm merely getting 15 upon the first three days then they drop massively. Of course, my topics aren't as popular hehe.

As kgala0405 and many other Hubbers will say, it *is* Quality over Quantity, though people won't find that out until they actually click on the links to your Hubs. If you're writing less than 1000 words, people won't want to read your Hubs again, so be sure to write loads, spellcheck and pretty your Hubs up ^^

I've been here for a little over two weeks and I almost have 600 views total, with fourteen hubs - so you're doing better than I am! To be honest, I'm just glad people are reading them at all!

Wow! Congrats on your 1,000 accolade!  It took me much longer than 2 weeks to reach 1,000 views.  Good job!

Welcome to Hubpages and happy hubbing!

Yes it takes "aging" for your Hubs to take off.  I made about $5 in my first three months here, with 55 Hubs (I had a stock of articles ready to go when I joined).  Then I made my next $10 in a month, reached payout after about nine months.  The next payout only took three months, and the one after that, a month.  And that was without writing many more Hubs.

HubPages has said it takes a Hub three years before it reaches its full potential.
