How does the ebay revenue work?

    How does the ebay revenue work?

    I have sold some items on ebay and one of them has a ebay revenue in the two digits. I understand there is a 60/40% with HP program out of that number but I did not get a penny from that sale. Is it normal or do we only get revenues from the ebay clicks?

    I've never done the Ebay, but the Amazon program works like this.  It is a 60/40 split which means that 60% of the time your link is posted, and 40% of the time the hubpages link is posted.  If they purchase something while the hubpages link is posted then you will not get a penny from the sale.  I would imagine that Ebay works the same way.

      And if I get a sale with my ad I get the whole commission? Are you sure about this? I always thought you were getting 60% of all the sales? But I might be wrong. How do you know which sales are from your ad or not?

      Yes, you get the whole commission on your 60% of the time.  That is how Amazon works.  I am 90% sure that this is how it works. It has been a few months since I've looked into it.

      That doesn't make sense to me. What if your click resulted in a sale of 10 dollars and the HP click resulted in a sale of 100 dollars? I don't think HP is running a casino! smile
