At what point did the Google "age delay" lift for your Hubpages subdomain?

If you have had a Hubpages subdomain for a year or so I would like to know at what point you saw an increase in traffic from the Google "age delay" being lifted.  Some say that it takes 6-10 months or even a year.  What has been your experience?

It would be very difficult for many to answer this question because Google has implemented so many changes in the past year. Each of those changes impacted traffic in one way or another. I saw increases in traffic after August of last year...but during that time many writers so huge drops in readership.

I'm not sure what you mean by "age delay".

If you mean the sandbox, it's always debated whether it exists, and many sites never experience it.   You will only be put in the sandbox if Google feels your sub-domain has a problem in some way - maybe it doesn't have enough content, or you've keyword stuffed, etc.

If you are put in the sandbox, it can take anywhere from 6 months to a year to get out.

There is an'age delay', in the sense that Google values age - but it's a gradual process.  So if you've written informative, evergreen Hubs on subjects people are searching for, then their value should slowly rise. It can take a Hub three years to reach its full potential.

Bear in mind that if your Hubs are not about subjects people are searching for, then nothing will improve your Google traffic. I think that may be your problem.

Thank you for the feedback.  I know it is debatable as to whether an "age delay" exists, and it could change at any moment with all of these Google updates.  What I mean by "age delay" is the time it takes for a new domain to rank well. For example, if you bought a used domain name that Google had a landing page indexed for over a year and put content up it would be much easier to rank than a newly purchased domain name. It is generally understood that Google holds these domains/subdomains for a lengthy period, whereas once they have aged it is easier to rank. I know this is tricky and that some people may do better through high profile backlinks, etc.  This has been the case for my new domains that I have purchased for other blogs, though they rank well in Bing, DuckDuckGo and Yahoo.  Just wondering what it is like on Hubpages in particular.

I don't think age-delay applies to subdomains. It affects main domain names though. It would take atleast a year for a domain to stabilize in its search engine rankings, in my experience.
