We can't. You can put a copyright date on it, which may not help at all. Be sure to include a link in your hub that has some advantage to you. A good example is another one of your hubs that goes along with your subject. At least then it still has some advantage to you if they copy it.

Check every so often if someone has copied it and then turn them into Google if they did. Just copy and paste a part of your hub and put it in Google Search and you'll find the copy.

Not really.  You can file a DMCA complaint after you find out that somebody has copied your work, but there is no way to prevent them from copying it.

This is such a good question.  I wish there was an answer to this, but there really is not  I have suggested disabling the copy key, but the high tech Hubbers have told me this does nothing to discourage the people who steal our content from the site. But there is some light at the end of the tunnel, Google does discourage, and will rank down content that has been copied from other websites. The more Google values originality, the more it will discourage copiers.

That is a welcome move by Google. I think whatever you contribute, sharing that on Google+ helps. But I am not sure.
      Thanks hazelwood4 for your comment.

It is almost mission impossible. Internet is open to everyone and so are the online resources.
