Has Hubpages suddenly become too stingy with links and images?
It's been a year since I deleted my old account here on Hubpages, and now I decided to start a new one, completely sure that I knew exactly how to get around here and how to gain the best amount possible of traffic, and... My first hub has been unpublished twice already - first, because apparently the links I posted on my hub were overly promotional (even though they were just links to a website, nothing to do with affiliates), and second because a couple of images were apparently watermarked or pixelated.
What's up with all that?
It's about relevance and quality. There have been significant changes by Google during this last year, and HubPages made corresponding adaptations. I suggest you swing by the Learning Center and read up on all the new guidelines and standards. Things are different now.
i totaly agree with relache
and here is an exemple : dave was here for the last 2 years he had almost 600 followers and 500 hubs published and for a reason that i m not sertain yesterday he was banned from hubpages

This seems to be a popular question suddenly. I posted this answer to a few about how to establish links and will post it again for you because there is a discussion about your specific question as well. there is also a bit of info by HubPages not only here where I am referring, bur I believe if you will click on the "edit: button in the black bar above your Hub it will then show you at the lower left, a bit with buttons for "tags, "resources", "summary" and a few others. In one of those buttons there (I think) is a bit more talk about having "too many' or 'irrelevant ' which all together might clear up your confusion.
There is also a form to ask the moderator to further explain at the Learning Center i talked about above. I hope this helps.

Did hubpages change their linking policy or something? Because this morning my account is showing 50 hubs with violations for linking to prohibited sites. Are affiliates links such as Commission Junction, ShareaSale and Google affiliate no longer allowed? I am at a complete loss...

I have a hub that today has been 'indicated' as being overly promotional. That hub is A Hub Marketing Plan http://tsmog.hubpages.com/hub/A-Hub-Marketing-Plan posted or published on 3/20/12. It has received positive comments and positive accolades. Let me share I am now frustrated with primarily two...

Why am I suddenly being flagged as too promotional?Revising old Hubs and adding some new links following the Amazon prompt on the popup window. Not too many -- maybe a half dozen in a 1,500-word Hub. Now when I go to say I'm "done editing" I'm getting a warning that it contains too many...

Referral trackers which are supposed to give us a share of the income of people who sign up to HubPages via our referral tracker links on our hubs and have been in place for many years suddenly show up as broken links. What's going on? Are we now supposed to get rid of referral trackers? Has anyone...
