Why am I suddenly being flagged as too promotional?

Why am I suddenly being flagged as too promotional?

Revising old Hubs and adding some new links following the Amazon prompt on the popup window. Not too many -- maybe a half dozen in a 1,500-word Hub. Now when I go to say I'm "done editing" I'm getting a warning that it contains too many affiliate links and may be flagged as too promotional and removed by a moderator. My Hubs are substantive and not sales forms so I'm not sure what's what or what this is about.

It likely has nothing to do with you Amazon capsules.  You probably created too many links in your text that are pointing to the same domain.  HubPages only allows two links to a single domain within a single hub.

You can add as many links as you want if they are pointing to locations within HubPages; that is actually encouraged by HubPages.  I hope I was able to help.

Thanks kgala0405. I'm not adding more Amazon capsules, rather when I highlight a word to create a link, there's an option now to choose an Amazon product that the word links to. Had never noticed that before. So, yes, I guess technically that means multiple links are outbound to Amazon. I guess I don't see the difference between that and the capsules -- it's not like I'm promoting my own product or something. Should I delete those links? Otherwise it isn't clear to me why they're offered up as a suggestion.

I don't understand why you can promote amazon/ebay products here but if you promote something else it's marked as "commercial" lol, it doesn't make sense to me.
