Why have my page views dropped to 10% of usual amount?

Has anyone else noticed a sudden drop in page views over the last few days? My hubs are currently getting about 10% of the views they would usually get per day. Is it because I recently started publishing hubs in a different niche? I rely heavily on search traffic, but my hubs that were on the first page of Google have suddenly dropped out of sight. What's going on?

I checked my hubs and right now they seem to be the same. One hub that is always on first page is still there. That doesn't mean that their not going to drop. It's hard to know what will happen with google.

Now that you mention it, I have seen a drop in views the last couple of days. The reason why? I would love to know so we could fix it.

My hubs had the same thing happen early in May and shot back up to even higher traffic levels. Later that month traffic nearenough died again and it's been that way ever since. Most of the traffic my hubs get comes from my blog these days. I used to be on the first page for many of my search terms, but now my hubs are well and truly buried search engine wise.

My hubs recently dropped to about a third of the traffic they were getting, and still haven't fully recovered. The general wisdom is keep writing and the traffic will come back. It is probably because Google has done another update which has downgraded the search rank of your pages a bit. Apparently they often rise back up eventually so hang in there!

A few of us have been affected by the recent Google Panda update which occurred on July 25th. This could be the reason.  I suspect it is in my case too.  This is the second time it has happened to me in 4 months but I have bounced back in between so I am sure I will again.  I'd say just keep at it and you should turn around soon. Having said that I have been told it does take many months before we can expect to see solid constant traffic.

Well, although it's not good news, at least I'm encouraged that I'm not the only one!  Right at the end of July my page views dropped to just about 0.  I only have 8 hubs at this point and it's not like I was getting much traffic in the first place (about 10-20 views a day), but some of my hubs ranked alright (on the first page) with what would be logical keyword searches for the topics.  And now, the pages are nowhere to be seen hmm  WorkAtHomeMums mentioned the Google Panda update on July 25 and with the timing of it all that seems to be the explanation for my case.  I'll keep hoping they will rise again from the ashes, but I won't hold my breath!  Good luck to you!
