Is there a best time of year for earnings at HubPages?

Traditionally, is there a best season, say Winter, or Summer, for larger earnings on HubPages? Or a best month? Can some of the more seasoned HubPage writers give us newer people any input on this? Thanks.

    Hi Karen,

For product hubs, the holidays are the best time by far, since everybody's doing their Christmas shopping.  So November/December is BIG for Amazon affiliate commissions.  You'll want to get those hubs out a little early though, so they have a few weeks to mature and rank higher in time for the shopping rush.

Thanks. Unfortunately I live in Connecticut and there's a law against CT residents becoming Amazon affiliates. Crazy huh???

It depends what your hubs are about. If you write about pools, your best earnings will be in the spring and summer. Mine are educational so during the spring and fall are the best times for me.

You are VERY right about that as pools are what I write about. Almost no earnings in the cold season but during the summer, at least a few hundred dollars each month.

      robhampton,

A few hundred dollars each month in the Summer? That's great. What do you do in the Winter months? Can you write hubs about that? Maybe they will get you the traffic in the Winter.

lburmaster is right... I had a good time for one of my websites during the last few months prior to the Malaysian general elections. Now that the election is over, the traffic has dropped dramatically.

I think it depends on the niche on which you have written your hubs. My hubs on Christmas are best in Christmas season. Those on valentine, are best in feb whereas hubs on poems & recipes have equal traffic throughout the year.
