I googled one of my hubs and it came up on the second page of searches. However....
There is an icon next to my hub in the Google search that says this website has a bad reputation. Is this making all of our hubs look bad when someone searches our topic? Will it decrease traffic?
i don't think it will decrease traffic. I would be surprised if anyone really goes to hubpages for any reliable information (although I could be wrong) instead of many other websites. there is most likely very few experts on any subjects here. I like hubpages to discuss certain topics with people and to get the average persons perspective on things. mostly religion of course. people questions and hubs are interesting and a good way to kill time by reading them, but like Wikipedia I would never use hubpages as a reliable source of information. or maybe google has the icon because of all the rude and hateful comments.
Do you think that there is an icon on every hub? I just searched a few and did not see it. Why not try a few of your hubs and see if it is present on all of those.
I have checked a few others at random and get the same thing. I am using Chrome. I have noticed Chrome and Explorer seem to do different things on my computer! When I do a search with Explorer the icons do not show up.
I am not seeing it at all on Mozilla, but I also do not use Google.com; my search engine is Google.com.br, which I thought was the same except that it puts my local sites at the top.
You might have an extension that does that. I know of one, but I can't think of the name. Is it a doughnut shaped green or red circle?

I've read a lot about the importance of doing keyword research, but then you also get the impression that to really do that research properly can take a long time unless you get lucky early on or really know what you are doing. So I wonder, with some people pumping out huge amounts of hubs, are...

I can't seem to find an answer for this in the learning center. I have a large set of articles I've been writing for a while + some time on my hands to dedicate to Hubpages for the next couple of months. Would publishing 10 hubs a day benefit or disadvantage me, both in terms of hub score /...

I just modified the two recipe hubs I had to include the new recipe capsules, hoping they would look like all the other recipes that pop up in results, and maybe I have to wait a little bit of time, but...It only seems to show your picture in the search results if you have the image right at the...

Janderson posted something really important yesterday which I think everybody here needs to read http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/132621#post2759379.If he is correct in his assumptions (which it appears he might be), it is time for all of us to start making copies of all of our hubs (if we are...

I joined hubpages one month ago and started writing hubs on weekends because I am very busy on working days. I have published 12-13 hubs right now and they are featured (12 of them while the 13th is still under review). Though my score on each hub is above 50 but I am seeing no traffic coming on my...

Many good quality pages are Idled (become unfeatured) via ‘Analysis of the how engaged readers are with a Hub over an extended period of time’ – essentially because they get low traffic. It appears that this process was initiated to reduce the number of ‘low quality’ pages on the site. The concept...
