Do you think the timing of publishing your hubs make a difference?
I think it might because of who is all on at certain times. I've noticed like publishing in the middle of night that certain topics are looked at more. What do you think?
I used to try to publish around 5 pm EST thinking that was HP's busiest time. Then I realized there were hubbers all around the world so what difference did it make? I do try to avoid the weekend when activity seems to slow. Interested in hearing other answers, because I wondered also.
I have read other responses to this question. However, I just publish when I finally finish--usually around 1 am cst. I love hitting that Publish Now button and being done! I think long-term traffic is what matters. That's just me though.
HP traffic is slow on weekends, so you may get less initial views if a hub is published at that time. In the long run, it is the organic search traffic that matters and it comes from all over the world. You may want to look at Google analytics reports to understand your traffic statistics.
It has never seemed to matter to me. I publish mine as soon as it's complete and that's usually on a Saturday afternoon. I get a few views right away from the people who follow me and then the views increase over the next few days. I've never noticed the slow start lowering the hub score or anything like that.
I don't make money until after the hub is reviewed. So I think that if I publish it early people will find it after the ads are being displayed on it. I don't want it to get lots of traffic until it has the potential to make money. I also think posting when I do speeds up the review process. There are hubbers in other time zones. So it might not help.
While I could be wrong I think the timing makes a difference.
Most of your traffic and earnings will come from Google searches in the weeks, months and years after you publish a Hub so timing doesn't really matter.
This is not Bubblews where timing can make a real difference to the number of views.

After 6 months on the site i've started the really wonder how many backlinks is a reasonable number to any hub, and really to a hub becoming successful? Or is it simply a lottery. What kind of figures do other hubbers consider?

It's been a while since I wrote on HubPages. I have over 200 hubs on another account from years ago. Anyway, I decided to write a hub and it's the longest hub I ever wrote! It's nearly 2000 words! What I am wondering is whether or not publishing a hub at night is a bad idea? Would I get less...

Is there a benefit to waiting to publish your hub?Is there a benefit for waiting for your hub score to become higher before hitting the publish button? I noticed if it takes awhile to get everything arranged that sometimes the hub score starts to climb. Is there any benefits until waiting until it...

For months I published no hubs and my hubber score sat around 96, in the last month I published three hubs, all of which are featured and each time I published one my hubber score dropped by two points, it's now down to 90. Is this how HP rewards us for our hard work? Correct me if I'm wrong but...

Is it advisable to go a week without publishing a Hub?I joined HubPages in March and I have published a Hub every week since except for one time. I don't want to publish a subpar Hub just to do it. I have a lot of ideas for Hubs but I don't feel inspired this week to write one. But I want to keep...

Here's something I've been wondering. Is there any sort of accepted netiquette here re; how often new hubs may be added and at what point it starts looking like spammage? I'm sitting of several half-finished WIPs and, like any new hubber, feel eager to graduate from The Boot Camp and get out there....
