What Do You Think Is The Number One Way To Increase Google and Social Media Traffic To Your Hubs?

Let's see if we have the same answers. I'll post mine, once we reach ten answers.

Post your stuff in active groups. Make sure what you are posting is interesting and compelling enough for people to click on.

For Google traffic, a title that has a keyword(s)/phrase searchers are putting in the search engine. For social media traffic, a brief lead-in teaser to get people to click on the URL/title.

For Google - keywords in title, meta descriptions (hub summary in HP) and text capsule title/s (h2 tags).  I do not have enough experience in driving social media traffic to a webpage.  Posting on socials gets few views, it could be because I write about China centric topics where FB, twitter and G+ do not work.  I do agree with Janshares that a teaser text enticing viewer to click through is the most common (probably most effective) technique people use.

I think posting on social media gets few views, but a large number of social media shares makes a page rank higher in SERPs in Google. I think! Maybe someone more experienced can comment?

I agree that there is a positive correlation between social network signal and SERPs even though Matt Cutt of Google denied this in his recent web master help video. https://www. youtube.com/watch?v=udqtSM-6QbQ

Sorry, I thought Wrylilt was actually asking about Google+ not search traffic originally! Yes, what you do is share share share on social media with great content and at some point, it takes off on its own and you get shares happening every day.

I believe that increasing Google would be with the correct keywords in the title, and summary, which would place your Hub as near the top to attract the most readers.

For the social media it would probably be using enough photos and the proper content, and wording, to keep their attention/interest in reading your article.

From a social media perspective, I think it is the pic that grabs peoples attention and makes them more likely to share.

From a google perspective, I think it's a matter of writing a title that is unique and that people are likely to search for. For example, questions are good titles because so many people google "How to....." Using a unique but popular title assists with getting a higher page rank.
