   How can HP stop the idiots who keep filling Q & A with spam?
   
   As I write this there are 12 Spam questions in the Q and A. I know we can flag them but is there any other way of preventing or lowering the amount of spam posted here? Maybe not letting anyone write Q and A until they have one featured Hub or been here for a minimum of one month?

   I think it's going to be hard to determine what's spam and what's not. New hubbers now have to go thru HP Boot Camp. They won't have any hubs showing until they've written 5 featured hubs (as approved by admin), so many of the newbies may appear to be spammy when they really aren't.
   
   If the content is self-promotional (in Q & A) or it appears someone has come in to promote their business, you can bet that's spam. I've gotten quite a few new followers who are obviously businesses vying for my attention. With all the new Squidoo kids coming in, we need to be patient and cognizant at the same time.

   Anyone who believes any of that stuff about anti-ageing therapy needs their head seen to!
   Especially when you then read the claimed responses from users, then the disclaimer at the end.
   
   Be warned, everyone.  It's a sham spam.

   I think you have a good idea. I've seen questions that can easily be answered by logic or a quick search. The spammers are annoying and I try to delete their comments on my hubs and avoid answering spammy questions. Some are more obvious than others however, there seems to be a large uptick in this activity recently.

   I see exactly what you mean.  I believe that the Q&A section in addition to the Forum section should be for hubbers who have at least 50 featured hubs of high quality.   There are so many mysterious hubbers who have 0 hubs who habitually spam the question/answer and forum sections.  As I speak, I believe that HP is establishing more stringent rules regarding new hubbers.  All we have to do is to click the report button and go to spam and click and HP will examine the questions and remove them.

   I'm wondering if they should implement some sort of temporary 'hidden' section. A lot of hubbers (myself included) flag these spam questions as soon as they pop up. But I think it just puts it on a list for administrators to review later. Maybe the new system could make it so if a question gets a certain amount of flags it gets hidden from view until it can be reviewed. They're usually pretty good about deleting the spam, but this would just be a solution so that we don't have to look at it, especially when it happens late at night or on weekends when the administrators are presumably not in the office.
