What layout do you select to remove that top adsense banner that is over the title? As I believe...
that it is the one which receives less clicks
As far as I know we have no control over where the ads are being displayed. Furthermore you should measure before you take action: how do you know it receives less clicks?
You cannot and if you link google adsense to your account I donĀ“t know why you would want too,
It's just a supposition. When people search for something in search engines, a good part of them click links in the search results page because they are attracted by the title. When they land on the page, I believe (a personal supposition) that they first try to locate the tiltle within the page and then most would pay attention to what is underneath that title.
And based on that supposition, the highest cpc paying ads would not be ideally placed. I think that the highest paying ads should be located on the L shape just underneath title.
Anyway, not here to make any trouble, so far hubpages seems really great, and I just wanted to know if that top banner thing would be customizable, or other ad positionning for instance.
P.S just checked simeonvisser's hubs and I think that his ad positionning is perfect; An L shaped beneath the title, and then another ad INSIDE the L. Just Like that
Title -------------Profile Pic
Ad 1-------------Profile Pic
content----Ad 2--- Ad3---
content------------Sidebar
content------------Sidebar
Now this is good positionning, with highest cpc being ad 1, just under title. Some other of Simeonvisser's hubs are like that;
Title------------Profile Pic
Ad1-------------Profile Pic
Content-----------Ad2---
Content----------Sidebar
Content---Ad3--Sidebar
Content----------Sidebar
When taking a look at Brandonord's hubs, I see something like this;
Title-------------Profile Pic
Ad1-------------Profile Pic
Content---------Non-Google ad
Content--------------------
And sometimes with his two remaining g ads really on the bottom of the page. I wonder what's up with that.
Check Brandon's hub; http://hubpages.com/hub/Top-10-computer … -Christmas
Sometimes when I refresh this page, theres a google ad under his profile pic, sometimes a non-google ad, and sometimes a facebook widget!
Considering that I could stay long-term at hubpages, it would be nice to know how to optimize those ads. Cheers!

My Adsense earnings (not the ad program earnings) dropped by two-thirds yesterday yet I have the same amount of traffic as always. This has never happened before. Did I miss some kind of FYI that the page restructuring was going to affect Adsense earnings? This is bunk.

The ad that used to be placed within the text area, usually to the right of the first block of text has gone. I understand that this is an experiment. Could HP confirm whether this change is permanent, or when we will know. Many of my hugs were carefully crafted to ensure this ad appeared above the...

We are getting close to putting out a new ad layout that should improve earnings for authors, while creating more separation of ads from the content. For authors, the most significant change is there will be a 728X90 above the title and the 468X60 (under the title) will be removed along with one...
