I could do this before - add links to my other related articles, but now the link icon is missing and I had to add a separate capsule for the links.

Are you thinking of the linking tool one could use when NOT in the HubTool? If so, it's actually not there anymore- we removed it as very few people used it, and many of those who did were not sure how to use it properly.
That siad, you can do pretty much the same thing just by opening the HubTool, editing a Text Capsule, highlighting a snippet of text, clicking the link icon, and running a search on HubPages or Amazon instead of inserting a URL.
