Duplicate Web Information

    I had an article flagged by the duplicate automation system.  I am confused as the module I was entering suggested adding Wilkepedia information as it is a public, sharing site. Did I misunderstand the use of this site as an addition to my articles?  I have revised the article and re-submitted for publication. I would primarily like to know to avoid the problem in the future.

    You avoid this by not reproducing information that has already been published elsewhere on the web verbatim.  That is what is forbidden here.  It's an automated filter, it just scans text.

    That's how I understood it. I was just confused since the template I used for my article suggested adding the external content to supplement the article, which is what I did. I will have to re-read it next time I use the module, maybe I misunderstood and it was referring to images etc. not he article's content.
