      Hi mary,

Linda has offered some great advice. It's usually a good idea to use the URL or ASIN of a specific product rather than a keyword when adding Amazon products. Be sure you are not running any ad blocking software (which may prevent you from seeing your Amazon capsules even if they are working properly).

There is no need to download a YouTube video to your computer first before adding it to a Hub. Simply select a Video Capsule and insert the URL of the YouTube video you would like to add to your Hub. Hope that helps! smile

Thanks Christy, I found out how to do both yesterday. I was using the HTML of the Amazon product instead of the ASIN number, and learned how to do the YouTube video. Easy!

Great that your issue has been resolved. But, even when you have put the correct ASIN, sometimes the hub tool won't show the product. This is likely to happen if the product is new or is still in pre-order phase.

          All the best!

Use the ASIN  or ISBN code instead of keywords.

Make sure that there aren't any / marks etc when you copy the code.

There is something going on with Amazon.  They are doing something with some products that prevents us from using them on our sites, blogs, etc. We get the product not found message as well when this is the issue.

I always save articles I have written.  I also add the name, ISBN, ASIN number for each product. If have problems with finding the product, I can put that information not only in the Amazon search bar which sometimes works and other times it does not bring the product up, I also put the name of the product with Amazon at the end in my search engine search bar.  Sometimes the ASIN or ISBN is changed and I find it on the Internet rather than at Amazon.  I also go to Amazon Associates Central, log in, and use the product search the same way with the name of product or the ASIN number which also sometimes shows not found, even when I know the product is on Amazon since I also open up and Amazon.com just for product searches and of course to get the ASIN or ISBN number if it is something I haven't used or considered before.    I forgot where I found it, but Amazon is doing something now which prevents us from using the product numbers so we can direct our readers directly to the product page.  This is sporadic and the reason when you see product on Amazon, get ASIN number then go back to Associates page to get your HTML or shortened link you get a product not found message, or I should say one of the reasons.   Whatever Amazon is doing, could also be the reason as to why we get the product not found message when we put the ASIN in the Amazon capsule, if we already have that information, which I usually do since I pick out products, save them and add them after I have written an article, new or one I have not published yet.
