This is getting ridiculous!! Not only am I not able to edit my existing hubs, now I am unable to create hubs. The text capsules are not working. I can insert a title, but no text in the body. There is not even a box to enter it in.

I'm having the same problem. I've been using Chrome for over a year and all of a sudden around November or December I can't create new hubs or edit older ones. I get the bank capsule too with a bar running through it and a green dot. Also an advertisement link shows up in the capsule. I'm also trying to get this fixed.
I've uninstalled and re-installed Chrome multiple times. I've tried to use Microsoft Edge instead. I rebooted Windows 10 and I ran the Chrome fix tool and ran some windows repair tools. Nothing fixes this. If hubs can't help me fix this I may have to consider changing platforms.

A little bit of experience to share. On Squidoo I would use different browsers for the different tools that were available. This included beta testing. Sometimes things would work in one browser but not others. With that being said Try using FireFox and / or Chrome to see if those will let you to edit your hubs.
Thanks for the suggestion but I've already tried different browsers. My preferred browser is Chrome. I get the blank text box above. The same thing with Firefox. Both Edge and Internet Explorer give me the browser error message. I tried downloading Opera but it is not compatible with HP.
Two other suggestions:
1) Try a different computer on your network and on a different network.
2) CCleaner to clean up all the background browser data.
The problems are with your browsers and the computers. Sometimes a setting can change when you update it or maybe there is a bug of some sort. Cleaning out your browser cache and browser history might fix it.
If HubPages was having a problem then you would be seeing a lot more complaints from people in the same situation and not just a one or two.
Thanks for the suggestion but have done that several times. I believe OldRoses mentioned that she has her history set to clean out automatically after each use. I haven't done that yet.
