    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my Hub Elephone S3 Review (must be signed in to view). What can I do to improve? Thanks!

This hub is about a smartphone called Elephone S3. Images are my own. I used polls, videos and tables as the instructions on Tech hubs say and I have put only a link to the product on Amazon. Yet its not being featured so I would welcome your feedback. It is my first hub so it would help me a lot.

I have no idea why it isn't featured. It's not overly promotional. You've added lots of information.

If it were mine, I would run all the text, section by section through a grammar checker. There are some small errors that indicate that English isn't your first language. For example, in the introduction:

"Elephone brings to us some really interesting smartphones which stand out of the crowd of Chinese devices. Elephone S3 is one of them."

Elephone manufactures a range of smartphones that stand out in the wave of recent Chinese releases.

I'm sure you could make it better. You can see how getting rid of unnecessary (and dull) words makes the writing tighter.

You could read your text out loud, or get an English speaker to go through it for you.

Is the problem the ratings capsule? I remember reading at one time that a rating capsule is only used on recipe hubs, and if this hub is going through QAP as a recipe it is lacking a lot of the appropriate capsules.
I could be wrong on this so others will have to look into this.

I am sure that one of the suggestions for a product review hub was to use a rating capsule as it is displayed in search results and helps rank better and adds visibility to the article. Who knows maybe in practice those who assess hubs have a different opinion.

I removed that rating capsule. Lets hope this will do the trick smile

The ratings capsule is only for recipes.

Like theraggededge I'm not sure why this page has not been published, given that other pages with similar minor grammatical errors routinely are.

It might be that the subject area is considered intrinsically spammy and that pages are being held to higher standards.

It might be that there is not enough unique information on the page and it is triggering some kind of duplicate content filter. It is hard to say anything original about a smartphone these days.

If it is the latter, then almost all single product reviews are doomed. There is only so much that you can say about a vase, swimsuit or whatever...

My product orientated pages are less about individual products and more about the kinds of products in a particular area with individual models used as examples.

So if I were to write a page titled 'computers for beginners', for example, I would compare and contrast, the different kinds of desktop, laptop, notebook, tablet, phablet, smartphone etc, then try and find some exemplars.

That would be a big area to explore but also rather pointless given that computers are in the hands of kids these days and beginners are in short supply. But you get my drift...

I added one text, table and video capsule about performance and benchmarking. Let's hope it works. I hate to say this but it seems that HubPages has become far more inaccessible than before.
