Just published a Hub, saw no ads, checked a few of mine, none there. Checked a few other Hubbers' stuff, no (Google) ads there either.
hmm...sorry Ghost32 wonder what happend to them.I still got google ads on my pages.
Thanks for the replies. I'll try shutting down and firing back up, see if that works. (If only it'd work for my jammed digital camera!)

Wow! the related search block of ads that used to appear at the bottom of the page above the comments is gone! These ads were hated by many, were deceptive and the revenue was not shared with authors. Great News!!!
