I was working on a special hub for my 1,000th hub, but I don't think I like the idea anymore...

I'm curious as to what ideas you guys have for my 1,000th hub.

I want to do something a little different. I didn't do anything special for hub 100 or 500, so it's time to do something for hub 1,000.

How about a sneeze page of all of your best hubpages, top picks or something (Sneeze page is just a term for a link list!) a reflection of your past hubpages experience....?

I was going to propose the same thing as waynet smile

Or how about something how hubpages has changed your life, or what the influence is on your daily life. Or an earnings summary so far, although many have done that so it's not very original.
Maybe something fictional, a story, that would be something new for you right?

Good luck, and congrats on number 1000, very impressive!!

Dedicate to all the pets you ever had and write about them.

Write about the number 1,000.  Lol.  After all today is a 10/10 day! wink

How about 1000 things to do before you die?

    Or 1000 article title ideas?

    Or 1000 useless jokes?

    Etc?

I'll second UH's suggestion, why don't you show all your current pets ?

How about you just break the mould.

E.g. attempt some poetry or interview somebody. In fact, try and interview somebody famous!

Whitney, congrats on arriving at your 1,000th hub, quite a feat.

I have always been curious about your own pets, or pets you've previously had that made an impact on your life...  Or, how your love and interest for animals started and grew.  How you've been involved in animal rights or helping homeless pets, etc...  It doesn't have to get very personal, but I've wondered these things about you.  Good luck!

Keep this particular forum post alive until you reach your 1,000th hub. Then write a hub on this forum post that may be named like " A sleepless night, a thousand of hubs: an interaction with the community"

Thanks guys! I like the pet idea. I've had many. I have many. Most are breeders and not necessarily pets, but I can throw in a few of those too.

Waynet, that was my idea... Sort of... To have a link of some hubs, with an RSS feed, and what I've learned from hubpages.

I think though, I will do a listing of my pets, what animals have taught me, etc.

Ryan, attempting poetry isn't too new for me. It's just been a while since I've written non-fiction and poetry. I miss it, but time is limited for me right now. Plus, I'm not a fan of putting personal writing like that online, tons can steal it and use it as their own.

I'm still open to suggestions... I may do a mini series leading up to 1000. Who knows.

I'm going to do a countdown to my 1000th hub.

I need 9 more ideas for the countdown. ha

The 1000th hub will be the one that contains a few tips, what I've done, links, etc.

Have you ever written about your HP experience?  I mean, giving tips to newbies, how to be a successful hubber, etc..?

Sort of. I have one hub about it, but I'm making my 1000th hub to include a few tips, links of some of my hubs, and a few statistics of mine.

Whitney, first of all, many congratulations on approaching such an incredible milestone! smile

As to what you should make the topic of your thousandth Hub, I would suggest you think very carefully about what is - or was - the one most important/influential thing to you in your life. It could be a family member or members, an achievement, a pet of course, or any one of a million things.

Why not do a Hub about why that person/factor/thing is so important to you and what they/it means to you, as a lasting monument of your love/affection/appreciation?

    Just a thought!! smile

Good luck with whatever you come up with and I look forward to reading it.

    Hi Whitney,

As someone who loves all animals, why not show what $1000 can actually do for a shelter, rescued horses, a pet with needs or a therapy pet. I think it would be a great way to show/educate people what any contribution, big or small, can do to assist those that can not speak for themselves.
Just a suggestion. Congratulations on your hard work!
