I got the payment issued on 26 Oct. Usually I get the check on the 1st week itself. I went to the courier service in search of my check and they informed me that the contact number will be there and they will call me before delivering the courier. So I waited for that and my patience was out by Monday and I again called them. They replied that my courier has been returned back to Google office and the contact number on the courier envelope was not correct. They gave me the Google office contact number, but such a number doesn't exists and from the internet got another number but nobody is picking up the telephone. I'm in a totally confused position, after a long waited Google's check and I request you Hubbers to please help me to come out of this situation.

Have you received Adsense checks earlier at this address?

If the courier service was not able to deliver at your address, they send back the check to Google. Which means that you will miss the payout right now.

However, you can get this check cancelled, and a new one re-issued. It takes about one month for that.

If I'm not mistaken, sometimes the Amazon check gets returned. Usually it's a mistake that gets cleared up after a few inquiries.

Today I sent a detailed letter regarding my check through courier (Blue Dart) to Google Pvt Ltd (Google's Hyderabad Office). Is this going to help? Is anybody face the same problem, please don't hesitate to write on this forum, or just share your opinions regarding this issue.

The letter and my writings on Google forum post did the job. 2 days back a staff from Blue Dart's main office contacted me and asked about the problem. She promised me to contact with the Hyderabad Google office. After some two hours she replied that the check has been re-dispatched and I collected today my check. thanks to Hubbers who participated in this forum.

It’s good to hear that you were able to intercept your check at Google's Hyderabad office through the letter you sent by Blue Dart courier.

Now, from here, how long will it take for that check to become cash money? In some countries, this can take another 30 days for one to have that check cleared since the cheque is drawn payable by a US bank.

….Your fast response and efforts have yielded the results you expected, and, congratulations!

thanks, ngureco usually the the check will take 15-45 to get cleared and I think last time the money is credited to my account in 3 weeks.

hello dinkan53 .. I too leave in hyderabad.. BLUE DART courier service is really dumb ... I ordered some products online but never received them..

When I contacted to Bluedart they replied that I have to contact Google Hyderabad office for re-sending the courier. The strange thing is that the other Google office's in India have their phone number right down their addresses. But the Hyderabad office phone number is absent  and the number given by Blue Dart doesn't exists.

Switch to Google's Wire transfer option to get the money directly in your bank account. Choose multi-city bank like ICICI, HDFC, AXIS etc.

      You have confused me thoroughly.

I don't think wire transfer (for Adsense payments) is available in India.

You're right about EFT restrictions in india. I came across few folks finding a way out this and for that multi-city bank (Like ICICI, AXIS etc) account is necessary. HP forum is not the place to discuss this for obvious reasons.

I think AdSense publishers in India will receive their payments only by check system. Blue Dart is turning out be quiet unaffective in their services to some parts of India. Its time for Google to think about some other payment methods for Indian publishers.

At the surface of it, it will seem that the decision to send checks has been made by Google - it is not so. Courier delivery COSTS adsense a decent amount - which it does NOT pass on to publishers.

There are a number of restrictions on wire transfers to India, which is probably the reason why Adsense chose standard delivery - through checks.

You can request for a re-issue of the payment - that is the only recourse available.

          This falls under "lost" cheques.

The solution: request for a re-issue of the payment which will now happen in late December or late January 2012.

I went through the Adsense forums and couldn't find out someone's reply that Google re-issued the check. In place of a re-issue of check is it a better option that simply re-dispatching the original check that is still in Hyderabad. there should be some way to contact with Google's Hyderabad office?

              1. The fact that a cheque was sent to you and you did not pick it is a big issue to Google. It has to be solved.
              2. When you failed to pick the mail, it reverted to the sender (Google) and it’s only the original sender who can re-issue or re-send that cheque to you.
              3. When the cheque reaches Google, it will have to be cancelled and your account will be credited with the amount of the cheque.
              4. The next time Google will be issuing you with a cheque, they will include the amount of the lost/returned cheque.
              5. You will need to fill a form by following the link provided in the above post.

Is Google's Hyderabad office the sender of the cheque? If so, you may need to visit them and identify yourself to them.

Actually Google got lot of local offices in India and one among that office is in Hyderabad.  After contacting Bluedart, they informed me that they came to my address and I wasn't there and the mobile number written on the envelope was not mine. So they immediately returned it to the sender and the sender address they given to me is Hyderabad Google office address and told me to contact them for a re-delivery. I'm living in entirely different state and not in Hyderabad.

I am not in India, but when my cheque got lost I had to wait for 60 days before asking for a cancellation and a re-issue of the cheque. I currently receive my Adsense payments through Western Union and the payment will usually reaches here the next day after the payment entry appears on my account.

Hopefully, you can try to intercept the returned cheque at Google's Hyderabad office. If after 60 days you’ll not have found the check, then, complete the check re-issue form and a new check will be sent to you the following month. There might be no other short-cut because according to Google, rules are rules.

You have said, “The mobile number written on the envelope was not mine”. That statement in itself can be more interesting to Google than the fact that you have not received your payment.

The main problem seems to be that Blue Dart is not trying to re-deliver the check after missing you the first time, or give you a certain number of days to pick up the courier after a missed delivery. According to Google officials the standard procedure is for Blue Dart to return undelivered checks to the Google India office should be after two unsuccessful delivery attempts. But staff from Blue Dart told that the delivery boy came to my house on 8th Nov. Will the Google office in Hyderabad report Google about this missed delivery? If Google knows about the the lost check the amount should be automatically added to my Adsense account, then why should I submit the re-issue form after 60 days?

@skyfire Google's Wire transfer for Indians? That's news to me... If that is possible, it would make things easy for me. BlueDart Courier is pathetic as far as service is concerned. They deliver the checks 2-3 days after they receive it every time. It is high time Google consider a Bank Transfer option for Indians.

why do you bother with checks when you can use wide available Western Union?
anyway, no need to panic, if your check has not been used, it will be reissued some time in future. It happened to me. I gave up waiting for $400 check that has returned since I was not in country, but after 8 months or so, it went back to my account. That is why I use WU and collect payment in a blink of an eye.

Anyway I got the check back (posted above in reply to my letter to Google Office) and I think only check delivery is available for Indian Google Adsense publishers. thanks user999 for your contribution to this forum.
