    How do you learn?

If we assume that we learn in different ways, it would be interesting to find out 'how' different people learn.

I learn from the experience, current environment and parameters.

As denoh001 says, we all learn from experience .. but if it's relating to learning "stuff", I learn better from reading and digesting, plus seeing it done on video.

When I set out to learn something, I find it helps to have an objective.  For example, if I want to learn the constellations, it helps to think of something like, I want to be able to find galaxies that I can see with binoculars, or I want to know what part of the sky I should look for planets in.  I learn much better, if I try to apply what I have learned.

Other learning is just stuff that happens to me: I scalded my fingers when I drained the noodles like that, maybe, I should use a different technique next time.

The best way to learn is to forget everything you think you know about a topic, keep your mouth shut and listen, then ask questions. Do not worry about how you look or sound, make your questions as basic as possible in order to get a clear and solid answer.

I learn from my own experiences and others' experiences as well. On top of that, I also learn from people who give us good motivations, good encouragements and nice quotes. If we do this day by day, we would make ourselves happier and more contented.

    hi

I think we learn a lot from mistakes, experiences, research, quotes and by looking at the elders in the family. One of the best ways for learning is through Reading.

I'm probably mostly a kinesthetic learner, I generally learn a lot faster by doing it. Possibly the second most effective method for me, is actually the process of writing my own notes helps me quite a bit. Either through reading existing text and writing notes on it or by listening and writing notes, though I tend to find writing notes from existing text better.

I learn in community - and my goal is to create and nurture an online learning community.

If I can distinctly remember something due to it being funny, astonishing or adverse, I'll remember it. I also tend to have more knowledge on subjects I don't necessarily need but desire to know. Having something taught to me 2-3 times also keeps it in my head. I'm not a very visual learner unless it's memorable.

I predominately learn by doing things myself and by watching, rather than by listening to others try to teach me something.
I believe that sylvan actually has a good explanation of this here:

I got your point, I'm an inter and entra-learner person. that means I learn when I think or research individually or when I think and research wirh otherss. Besides I'm audiovisual learner who learns better when I watch and hear.

Mostly from experience, rarely from the classroom.

I learn best by doing. I can read about it or be told about it but if I do it myself I really learn about it
