How can students attend school when they are not documented?
Residing in a state that has many undocumented immigrants. How can the children who are undocumented attend school? When I enrolled our son in school, we had to provide a list of U.S. documentation including a birth certificate. I believe all children are entitled to an education; but how are the able to enroll the students? If you can please write a hub.
You are reminding me that I also had to provide a birth certificate when my child registered for school, but remember that any child born in the U.S. is a citizen, even if the parents are not. So many of the children may be born here, and entitled by law to an education, even if their parents are illegal immigrants. I do know from my Mexican born sister-in-law that social workers on the border of CA do not have to ask for residency/citizenship in order to provide services. I'd have to do some more research for a Hub on this, but you've got me thinking.
I live in the UK and my Daughter has just started nursery (Kindergarten) and we to have to provide the child's birth certificate when enrolling them. I'll look into a hub that takes in info from all over the world.

A Cincinnati area high school is now going to pay students for showing up to school. Seniors will receive a $25 Visa gift card and $5 put in a savings account. Underclassmen will receive $10 gift card and $5. Should students be paid to attend school? What are your thoughts?

What is the real deal with Charter Schools?I live in one of the few states that do not yet have Charter Schools. I am really interested in learning about the real benefits or drawbacks from people who have experienced them first hand. Do you or anyone you know have kids who attend a Charter School?

What are the costs and benefits to requiring children to attend school all year? Some experts believe that kids lose a half year of schooling by taking the summer off. Should we require them to go to school year round? Why or why not?

Do you think it is better to home school children or to allow them to attend public school? My sister is home schooling her daughter. I think it's a great option for parents who can do it but I think it could have some drawbacks on her daughter's social development.
