Does anyone out there know what a Myron L DS meter is used for sampling?
I found it in an old box of junk, and I really don't know what it's purpose is. The meter was manufactured by the Myron L Company, which is located at 6115 Corte Del Cedro, Carlsbad, California 92009
DS stands for dissolved solids. They are used to measure solids in a water sample (basically the amount of tiny gunk floating around in them). The more solids in a sample, the greater its ability to conduct an electrical current which is how this meter operates.
Brand new these things run just above $200 I think. Here is the manufacturer page: http://www.myronl.com/products/DS_pDS.htm
Your answer was helpful. I put a new 9 volt battery in it & on the scale water registered at 80, pure rubbing alcohol registered at zero, and beer registered at the top of the scale over 500. Other than that I don't know what to do with the meter
Drink the beer, not the other stuff. Something will come to you. Or stick it on Ebay, get some money for it, buy more beer.

Do babies in India eat curry when they start on solids? Like do they start with a Korma and then...work up the scale to build their tolerance?

How soon can you put your baby onto solids? The department of health recommends exclusive breast feeding for the first six months. Sometimes this is not possibly for various reasons so how soon can you wean your baby onto solids? Can you wean before your baby is four months old?
