How do you give guidance to a Junior in High school, who scores extremely high and gets commended in every subject on the State exams, but makes poor grades on his report cards?
It sounds like this person absorbs the knowledge without a problem, but truly only applies that knowledge when taking State Exams because this person knows how important the exams are to moving forward, but failing to realize that their grades are just important, but this person chooses not to apply during normal school days.
I am not exactly sure how to wake this person up to their actions, except to point out what is seen and what it means.
Well, what's the reason for the poor grade?
I scored high on exams, but I got B's and C's because I didn't turn homework in on time.
Others didn't like class, didn't like teachers, didn't like school, didn't want to do work, etc.
