Terra Nova: What Remains

What Remains

What Remains

With only a select few sent back 85 million years in the past to remember what happened to Earth and preserve its future a virus that makes everyone loses their memory is a threat to the entire mission of Terra Nova.

Dr. Elizabeth Shannon is sent to outpost 3 to investigate the pathogen which makes people forget and unfortunately she is infected almost immediately. Dr. Shannon doesn't remember who her daughter Zoey who as happens to have a cold. Jim Shanon is also suffering from a cold. Taylor has also completely lost his memory.

Dr. Elizabeth Shannon discovers that there has been experimental gene therapy was being conducted at outpost 3. Malcolm soon becomes infected and starts living back in the time when he and Elizabeth were in love. This doesn't sit well with Jim. Very predictably Jim doesn't suffer from the memory loss as he is infected with a cold.

Matty and Mark's relationship evolves.

Josh works on bringing his girlfriend to Terra Nova.

The 6ers have the ability to send messages into the future to recruit Joshes girlfriend through the portal.

This show was rather humorous and predictable but good. Many of the characters back stories were revealed without flashbacks which I thought was really creative on the part of the writers. And the humor was refreshing. But there is also a very melancholy side to this episode.

Very important review. Hope they don't get cancelled. Terranova, a latin word that survived centuries, 'New land' for new people. Thanks for the useful hub JT!

Thanks Lord,

I think this show is improving with each episode. Like Burn Notice that was entertaining but not critically acclaimed, it has evolved. I think we live in a society of immediate gratification in which if a show isn't an instant success and beating all the other shows it gets cancelled. this leaves little room for plot development which builds suspsense and interest in new shows.
