The 10 Best Upbeat Movies for Women
Hours Looking
Do you spend hours looking for a great movie to watch? Are you often disappointed in your selection? This has happened to me a number of times. It is rare that I find a great movie by simply looking on my own. Skimming through the online reviews have proven to be one of the worst ways of finding a great movie. I often drastically disagree with the online movie reviewers. Most movie critiques do seem to be men; maybe this is the reason. I have found that some movies with very high ratings, I would rate just the opposite and vice-versa. It seems that the best way to find great upbeat movies is by talking to the people around me. Friends, family members, and even aquaintances, are the best sources for finding great movies. This list of the 10 best movies for women is compiled in no particular order. The descriptions do not have spoilers and there are links to all of the movie trailers. Enjoy!
Movie Expectations
The following characteristics are qualities I look for when selecting the best movies for women:
- They hold my attention from beginning to end. I don't want to miss any part of it. I am a multi-tasker and find it hard to only do one thing at a time. But great womens' movies will make me only want to watch them and do nothing else.
- I will want to watch them over and over again. Great womens' movies are ones that I want to share with friends and family members. I will watch them over and over and enjoy them each time. I will even choose these movies to watch by myself.
- They make me laugh or cry or both. These movies evoke emotion with little effort. I tend to like very unpredictable funny movies or action-packed movies with an interesting story to tell. If the movie cannot make me laugh or cry, then it is probably not great.

This is one of those movies that most women have probably seen. But if you haven't, you need to. It is painfully funny and will definitely make you laugh and cry or at least laugh until you cry. The main character is someone we can all identify with at some time in our lives. Life seems to be passing her by and she is in an unhappy place for most of the movie.
