Nice picture gmw, to answer your question goes all the back in human history, people have an inborn ability to give worship, if we just look around the world the majority of people worship something. So just like we all need food to survive
We have mental needs as well. The first human who was worshiped is written as an opposer of God known as Nimrod , a hunter of animals and man. People worship him. , Also It was said
he built tower or temple of babel that contained Many deities.
The point is worshipping other humans comes way from that point from history, today people still give worship to Nimrod, tamaz, Ishtar, Isis and others , but these were created by man's hand.
The scriptures says this to be true, but not accepted .
Ro 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
A difference is the creations can come and die out,
But the Creator is eternal he still is there throughout the many generations of humans.
People should not be worshiped bottom line.
