In your family is there an Author who you have found interesting?
My husband at the moment is reading Tony Parks novels we have found them to be interesting . Has your family got a favourite?
Sadly, there are no authors in my family. But I am attempting to become one!
My mom and I usually share books. For awhile we were both reading Phillippa Gregory, and then the Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) books by George R.R. Martin. So, usually we're usually into the same authors at the same time.
Hands-down, our family's favorite writer is Neil Gaiman. He writes for both adults and kids. My favorites of his books for grown-ups are American Gods and Neverwhere. My favorites of his kids' books are The Graveyard Book and Coraline.
He's also written a bunch of comics, including the Sandman series and Marvel's 1602 (which is open-ended for a sequel--Neil, if you should come across this, hint, hint?).
Also, he collaborated with Terry Pratchett on a brilliant book called Good Omens. You won't be disappointed.

Hi everyone,I love Terry Pratchett's fantasy comedy novels - although set in his fantasy Discworld, they often take on real world issues. It could be said that Terry is the greatest satirist of the 20th and 21st centuries.I'm also a big fan of David Eddings' Belgariad and Mallorean series, and...

There are so many of us who write fiction, and we're stuck with Amazon, itunes, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, etc, all of which have their own difficulties.I would really like a formula in the hubpages tradition where every author has their own site, plus the ability to upload their books and sell...
