   I might be sort of a Debbie downer with this response, but some studies are linking hot tea with higher rates of throat cancer.
   
   So, my vote would be to drink your tea lukewarm with milk or iced.
   
   Put it in a tall glass or thick mug to save the environment from the all of that nasty wasted plastic at your coffee/tea shop.
   
   You can sip or gulp depending on your mood and thirst. Use a straw to save your teeth from stains of black teas.
   
   Most importantly, drink it daily!

   I am not sure about the cancer, I have never heard such a thing, but it is interesting to do a little research on it, English drink it everyday, oriental people too. Teas are different and each of them has specific methods to prepare, so you should read the label of the tea you are making to make sure you are doing the right thing to bring the most of each tea, green
   tea for example gets bitter after two minutes other teas require more than two minutes settle. My best advice is drink tea without sugar and with a little cookie or a little piece of cake in your most calm hour. I love tea!

   Well here in Ireland we drink tea at breakfast, after lunch and after tea and of course to cure a hangover and to settle the nerves! Tea is full of antioxidants even though it contains caffeine. Everything in moderation!
   I also heard something similar you what J. Kumm has stated. Basically some of us including myself like a very hot cup of tea, and too much of this can cause the lining of the oesphagus tract to become inflamed and eventually lead to cancer. I do not know if this is  scientifically proven I just read about it the other day.
   This is how my family and I prepare tea- I'm fierce fussy with my cuppa.
   Boil the kettle. Place a little hot water into a teapot and into a nice china mug (I prefer a china mug as it keeps the tea warm for longer) to warm. Once the teapot has warmed empty the water add approx. 2 teabags into the pot and fill with hot water, cover with lid and leave to wet for 3 minutes. Now take your nicely heated cup and pour some of your freshly brewed tea. Add a little milk and sugar if you want.
   Tea is best enjoyed with cakes and good friends.

   I'm one of those Baby Boomers "of a certain age" and live life hand-in-hand with hot flashes...So. I drink my tea iced pretty much all the time.  Having said that, however, there's just nothing better than a cup of hot tea, a favorite novel and a comfy sofa.
