    Starting a food blog

I am planning to start a food blog. I can't decide if I should start a blogspot or just continue at Hubpages. What do you think? In terms of monetization, I think Hubpages will earn me more. What say you?

In my opinion, it depends on whether you prefer more money or more freedom. While writing in HubPages will help you earn more, you have to make sure that your content is original. I personally have had to edit out a lot of my own hubs just to get it published, because there were several words similar to another hub I wrote, even though it was actually an original crochet pattern.

In Blogspot, you have the freedom to publish anything you want. But you'll just be earning from Google AdSense, as opposed to the additional earnings program that HubPages has.

You can earn in many different ways in blog spot not only with Adsense alone.  I rent adspace on my Blogspot and have links to advertisers and an affiliation with Amazon on my Blogspot blog. plus links to my website as an external Blog for my website

AdBrite doesn't accept Blogspots anymore, as I'm hoping Chitika does, but please feel free to list some of the more established Ad Companies that are easily approved for Blogspots, as I'm curious about that one, myself...

HubPages is a great lead in to a monetized Blog of your own. But better still your own website. I use many Blogs about seven now plus wikinut Triond and Hubpages along with all my social Profiles and Sites to feed traffic to the Monetized Blogs and Website. I have just begun Selling different Products a few months ago.

It is a big undertaking and one that takes time to build a lasting Foot hold upon the World Wide Web. Start with a Monetized Blog earn some income and build a website and from there be seen everywhere you can be. Plant your seeds every where you can and lead them back to your sites wherever they be.

I would think going with HubPages would better.  The social networking features of HubPages will drive more traffic.
