   Your cupboard if it's freshly roasted and you will consume it within a week, your freezer if it will take you longer than a week to consume it.

   Where is the best place to store your coffee? That all depends on how fast you drink the coffee. I keep mine in the cupboard because we make a new pot of coffee daily. For casual drinkers, you will want to keep it in the freezer, possibly with a bag over it to not lose it's value in lengthy storage. When you want to use some, take out what you want and allow it to thaw to room temperature before brewing it. This will give the grounds maxium flavor.

   In your stomach is the best place!
   
   Cupboard.  Freezing could cause the oil in the beans to expand which could change the taste.

   If one is planning to store most foods for prolonged periods of time, the freezer is always best. However, if one has a small amount of coffee, say a pound or two, and will using it up in the course of a week, say, then it is okay to store it in the cupboard. The cupboard in the kitchen can be dark and dry, but it will be at room temperature instead of cool. A cool  place to store foods is advantageous in many cases, which includes the storage of coffee for prolonged periods.

   The experts don't recommend freezing coffee. Coffee is best stored in a cool, dark place. Keep it well sealed and away from foods with strong odors.
