What is your favorite dinner to serve for a dinner party?

This can include any type of meal.

For a very special meal I serve, a combination of shish and shami kebabs with a mango and raita sauce, chilli dips and then my delicious white chicken korma followed by pestachio and cashew ice cream. Coffee and chocolate mints.

If I have the time to prepare the chicken then

Avocado pear with blue cheese dressing

    Champagne sorbet (or lemon)

Boned and stuffed chicken with assorted sauces
    Boiled new potatoes
Brussel Sprouts with lemon, garlic and almonds

    Strawberries with cream cheese

    Coffee. liquers and assorted cheeses

If I don't have the time to prepare the chicken, I usually cook a leg of lamb, very slowly, with a garlic and honey dressing, then serve it on a bed or orzo, mixed with tomato puree.

Blue cheese has quite a strong flavor, the sorbet helps to clean the palate before the chicken.
In the summer, I might serve a warm soup, like egg and lemon, and serve the chicken cold.
With a good balance of hot and cold food, I get to enjoy the guests more, and spend less time beforehand on my feet.

    My favorite dinner to serve:

Fried potatoes, Vienna Schnitzel, fried mushrooms, roast tomatoes, lettuce cucumber salad with olive oil dressing and for dessert, Schwarzwäldertorte (Black Forest Cake). Yummy!

Rolled, stuffed pork leg (shoulder roast), oven-roasted with potatoes, onions and carrots.  Stuffed with various things, including smoked cheese, green olives, mushrooms and spinach.  Served with a green salad.  Chocolate pecan pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Kotopoulo Skorthato (Greek Lemon Garlic Chicken and Roasted Potatoes)

I served this dinner to my CEO (His first name is Dimitris if that gives you a hint) and miraculously I got a raise 2 months later.

The authentic Russian vodka after dinner was a nice touch too.

Lamb Chops with all the fixings. If not, then any Italian meal is fine.

Tea and butter cookies to start. Smoked salmon, cucumber sandwiches with a touch of salmon on those too. Salad and orzo pasta. Serve drinks, both water with a lemon wedge and white wine or beer.

It all depends on the crowd I've invited. This Sunday I'm planning to make homemade rosemary and cracked pepper biscuits served with glasses of dry red wine for starters. Then we'll enjoy a nice garden salad with golden berry vinaigrette. The main dish will be osso bucco braised until fall-off-the-bone tender and served on a bed of garlic risotto. Baby spinach sauteed in olive oil and butter on the side. Dessert will be light, creamy and true to the Italian theme: vanilla panna cotta with wild berry sauce. We'll offer sparkling water and coffee with dessert.
Although it sounds fancy, this meal is nice because most of it can be made ahead of time and osso bucco is an inexpensive cut of meat in Peru. I like to lighten up the panna cotta with yogurt so it's not quite as fattening.

Usually, dinner parties in Malaysia are basically fried noodles, fried snacks, curries and puddings with cocktails. My favorite is the curries with fried bihun. Pour the curry paste all over the bihun and munch through the chicken
