   What is your favorite summer time fruit?

   Here in Peru, my favorite fruits are mangoes and pineapples. We love to eat them whole or chop them up for a fruit salad dressed with honey and lime juice. In the U.S., my favorite summertime fruits are the berries: blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. I find homemade blackberry cobbler absolutely irresistible!

   strawberries and pineapples are my favorites. Seedless grapes are also good and the occasional pre-sliced watermelon if sweet is good too. Normally I eat fruit assembled in a bowl with no particular recipe.
   I have had some salads that featured strawberries, dried cranberries, sliced peacans, red onion, spinach, tomato, balsamic vinegar dressing, and a little goat cheese or blue cheese crumbled over it.

   I love all kinds of fruits, so it's difficult to have a favorite but when I go home to Singapore, my all time favorites have to be longans, mangosteens and mangoes. Since they're in season, they're very sweet and relatively inexpensive.

      I'm not familiar with longans. Are they similar to mangoes? Can you get those in the US? Mangoes are one of my favorite fruits too. Thanks for sharing.

   I go with the berries, I love being able to have fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries throughout the summer months.  We make all kinds of delicious desserts and dishes with the berries, but we also enjoy canning them into jams that we can enjoy during the winter months.

   Here lately I've been obsessed with anything peach, mango or lemon.  If I see a recipe or go out somewhere and see something with one of them in it I have to have it.

   Nothing can beat Mango during scorching summer. Can eat mango, drink mango juice and shakes .

    My favourite summertime fruit is mango and pineapple. I eat ripe mango and pineapple as it is or mix them with other fruits in fresh fruit salad. When I was in the Philippines we use to eat unripe mango by dipping it with vinegar and salt mixture or even sugar and vinegar.

    Have to agree with others here, I can't go past a mango on a hot summer day. It's winter at the moment here in Australia, and you know it's summer when the first mangoes of the season become available!

    My favorites would have to be strawberries and peaches. When we lived further south, the watermelon couldn't be beat, though!

    Over all other fruits I prefer lemons. I cut them up and eat them like oranges. I do the same with limes. I've always preferred citrus fruits, however in recent years my wife has been making us very good fruit smoothies (with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, mangos, etc) and since she started doing that I've found that I like all other fruits almost as much as lemons. I know my liking of lemons is strange, considering that growing up here in Massachusetts my family has always grown blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.

       Recently I had a fresh lemon from a friend's backyard in California and it was delish. It was the first time I cut up a lemon and was so enticed by the smell I actually ate it just as is. It was tart and sweet all at the same time. I can relate.

    I have a thing for Kiwi's in the Summer. I put  vanilla ice cream in a bowl and slices of kiwi on top - Really lovely.

    Definitely Strawberries! I usually just eat them plain with some Whip Cream on top, maybe a bit of Sugar too
