The doc says I have wayyyy to much iron in my body.
"Of course I have, I worked with metal, some of it soaked in" I say, but he's not havin it! He reckons it's in my blood.

    I coulda told him that!

Anyway I go to see him yesterday and he siphons off a pint of my blood! A PINT!!!!!!
If I took a pint of oil out of my Honda it would blow a piston.
I feel a bit like that now, like I lost a piston. Do we have a blood dipstick? I can't find mine, but I reckon I need more than I have now!

So I asked him "Why all the blood doc?" and he says "that's the only way to get your iron level down."

this is a new doctor who has two incisor teeth that are ever so slightly larger than normal.
    Is he a vampire?

Did his "fangs" have a reddish tint?? My uncle had the same problem with too much iron. He was told it could lead to stroke/heart attack. Cut down on your kangaroo consumption. lol

Oh, and don't near any large magnets.

Wow that's one of them big words that means I am an iron factory right?

I dunno, I feel pretty good today, and with less blood I can walk past the speakers in the lounge without getting em stuck to my legs! lol

      Well said my friend!
I see it as natural really. When I was a kid I had leeches on me all the time in the bush. My body probably misses the little tikes!

I wonder if my Dr. has a few dozen spare?

Mine it from your veins. If it's iron pyrite, you might be able to make coins and jewelry out of it.

Or tell the doc you're selling your blood to anemic vampires, and from now on, he has to pay a premium per pint.

Doesn't sound fun, earnest. As habee says, stay away from magnets. Especially those huge ones they use in junk yards.

Hope you can get this corrected soon!!

do you eat too much red meat? and do you drink enough water?  your doctor isn't a vampire, at least not if he isn't real pale and only takes appointments at night!

I don't drink water on it's own much, it's got fluoride in it.

I was bought up on clean water in the bush as a kid, so it tastes foul to me.
I drink a lot of tea and coffee though, does that count?

It is made with water. I drink full cream milk, and can eat steak, roast lamb, pork chops or seafood like an animal!

My favourite food is chocolate, I'm 5'11 and 12 stone but apparently not iron proof.

Hang on, what has this got to do with my doctors incisors? smile
