Looks like AL-Qaeda need to hire more experienced suicide bombers.
I have not seen an experienced suicide bomber....
I have not seen a person with previous suicide experience....
That's the point. leeberttea was being facetious.
Let everyone in al qaeda commit suicide...
then American soldiers will have no work in Afganistan..
Is it your dream?
Al qaeda must teach people about the purpose of establishing the organisation, its structue, aims, etc. They should not teach their cadre to lose their lives.
A good fighter is to hurt the enemy and not to be hurted. A soldier is to kill the enemy and not to get killed in the name of attaining martyrdom..
If the commitment to the cause for which we are fighting is sacred and genuine, we can overcome any kind of enemy. But if we are killing common unarmed people, and destroying huge monuments like the twin tower and Budha state in Bamien, our efforts will go waste.
Did not those 300 fight the enemy? Did they surrender without fighting? They tried to prevent the enemy but their own man went the wrong way and caused the death of those 300. It is a brave, valiant fight and cant be regarded as martyrdom without fighting.
No one continues .... because of the suspense about "those 300".
In ancient Greece, When the city states were fighting among themselves, a small mountain pass provided the gateway to a city state and Persian army under Artaxerxus rushed to capture that city, after passing through that pass. A band of 300 Greeks under Spartan king Leonidas decided to defend their city. They valiantly fought with the enemy who were in thousands. They used a strange technic of retreating to a distance and turn around and attack the enemy and eliminate them. After killing hundreds, the advancing army found a friend among their foes and with his help, they passed through the mountain by another way. After encircling the defending warriors, the advancing army killed all the 300 people. This "Battle of Thermopylae" is a milestone in military history. Even today, this kind of warfare finds place in modern military planning.
This technic was used in the Battle of Hastings (1011), German attack on allied forces in Benelux, etc. Hundreds of thousands of men were killed in these battles.
When the battle was lost, King Leonidas and his '300' remained to fight on in what was essentially a suicide mission that allowed the rest of the retreating army to leave..
Leonidas and his men knew they would die.. but in their death they were martyrs who inspired the rest of Greece (especially the other reluctant Spartans) to unite and fight the Persians

the church martyrs were given the choice of life if they renounce their faith. They chose to give up their life intentionally inviting death. Suicide is define as self -annihilation whether by your own hands or by others IF YOU GIVE YOUR CONSENT.It also does not matter what the reason is....

Are people aware that suicide among military members has risen since Iraq/Afghanistan ?The sad fact is a lot of soldiers feel so hopeless and desperate they are killing themselves as the result of these "sanitized" wars the media shows us. The suicide rate raised steadily throughout the...
