I am pretty sure there is not much we can do about spammers who leave their advertising comments. Other than deny the comment, is there any other suggestions of how hubbers handle their spammers?
Thanks
If they are hubbers in hubville, report them, then delete the comment. If they are offsite and spamming, just report them as spam (there's button for that) and delete them forever.
Pretty simple, really. Not fun, but necessary.
I think they should be drawn and quartered. I hate when people leave comments.
Especially when I have to hit "delete."
My arms get so tired of clicking, moving my sausage fingers to the proper places...oh.
I'm sweaty just thinking about it. I need a nap...
Maybe it's the topics - some must attract more spam than others.
I have probably deleted maybe 20 or less comments since I joined HP, and I currently have nearly 600 (I think?)
IF it's just on one or two hubs, you can go into the edit comments box and change it so that only hubpage members can comment.

Is anyone else getting a surge in spammy comments in their Hubs? I seem to be getting at least one or two every day now. I only get the opportunity to check my comments once a day, and I delete the spammy ones. I got a snippy comment from another hubber stating "Wow, you let...

I started getting a few spammy comments a few days ago. I posted a thread and someone suggested changing my comment settings to allowing only signed in users being allowed to comment and approval before they were published. So I changed my settings. Today the spam was even worse, took me a half...

I seldom find a comment to my hubs hub that include a business link. Are links allowed in the comment section? Do you reply or do you delete the comment? Thanks.

I receved a comment that is strange and disturbing. I won't be approving it, but i don't really know what to do. The comment has nothing to do with my content. Instead i is writen like a response letter to me. It makes it look like I am participating in something that breaks Googles adsense TOS. I...
