Two days ago I received an email from hubpages informing me that adsense had been removed from one of my hubs because of deceptive tagging etc. The message says that basically if you continue like this you will be banned forever. What crime and deception had I committed?

My hub was deceptively categorised under the  "food and cooking- beverage recipes- wine recipes." It has been re-categorised "Food and cooking- beverages and wine" and re-published.

Now, I am pleased it is in the correct category but isn't it a little ridiculous to be made to feel you are in the last chance saloon over such a minor detail.

By the way, the only change I had made was to comine two paragraphs. I read somewhere that google likes opening paragraphs of 150 words plus.

Well, I have got that off my chest now.

I'm sure that the message you got was either automated or one that is probably sent out in all such cases - don't take it too personally.

As long as it is fixed and correct now, I don't think there should be a problem...

The whole Adsense thing is a crock to me.  I got banned the very first week and after 11 months still don't know why.  I've been here almost a year and haven't missed Adsense once.  Imagine that.  Of course, I ain't using hubpages to get rich either.

You are quite right, of course I shouldn't take automated emails personally.

Absolutely not.  The Adsense automated monitoring system leaves alot to be desired.  Basically, it sucks.

It must be about the Adsense block being displayed with your first paragraph. However, if you read it rite and remember correctly, then it is just a myth.

Seanorjohn you may want to check your tags.  You may have lot of unrelated tags to your hub.  Deceptive tagging does not mean deceptive categorization.  Anyways if the warning is removed from the hub then all is good!!

True and it is not as if I have many hubs to worry about. I really must get motivated to write more. I'm thinking about writing Christmas hubs.Perhaps it will be done for 2011.
