Have you ever been in the process of watching a movie, whether at home or out at the theater, that you just couldn't keep watching, that were so bad you walked out?
Care to share?
Ishtar (Warren Beatty, Dustin Hoffman)
After the first 20 minutes I'd lost so many IQ points I turned
it off to keep from having to ride the short bus the rest of my life.
"Observe and Report" starring Seth Rogen. I'm not the toughest critic, but that movie was so terrible I couldn't bear to watch more than 30 minutes.
The Russia House, it bored me to death within 15 minutes and I just couldn't keep on watching.
Paranormal activity. Boring and jittery handicam movements made me turn it off at about the 20 minute mark. Not scary at all.
the first Lord of The Rings movie
I couldn't stand the ponderous virginal melodrama
I wouldn't normally walk out of a movie theatre but as it was empty at the time I walked out on Pan's Labyrinth... too violent. I would have loved to have walked out on Sin City and Pearl Harbour... just bored. Avatar tested my will too - but the 'pretty pictures' kept me there.
At home, I turned The Postman off at about the 1/2 way point - and I LOVE Kevin Costner. Snorefest.
When I watch LOTR at home I just fastforward anything to do with Hobbits and Ents. Great movie(s) - without them ;-)
Meet the Spartans! I couldn't just sit and watch even half of it!

Have you ever read a book that you just couldn't put down? What book and why?

Last night, I was sitting in my bathtub and the sink faucet literally turned on full blast by itself. I tried to logically talk myself out of the idea that it was paranormal, but I know that it couldn't have been anyone in the house. I didn't turn on the sink, and my husband had left the bathroom...
