The bright side to war is not everyone dies
despite the war mongers who give their best try
my dim view's affected by impassioned cries
of innocent victims left wondering why.

The bright side of war is it teaches mankind
all about the atrocities that he will commit
my dim view's because I am firmly resigned
despite all this cost he will not have learned shit.

The bright side is some day all these wars will end
when both lamb and lion can lay down as one
oh, this day is near, all the signals portend
my dim view is this has all been a dry run
for the great final conflict called Armageddon
when our Lord will pit satan, against His only son.

My dim view's that folks will refuse to believe
choosing to follow a blind, errant path
the bright side is that I wont be there to see
on the day that my God unleashes His wrath.

My dim view's that family and friends will be lost
by their utter refusal to look to the light
as lessons left unlearned, now finally cost
and nothing in this view could ever be bright.

An interesting poem, it has a nice flow to it.  One wonders why you didn't make it into a hub?

I guess because for the moment it was more interesting to share here than pretend that it has relevance for something more than poetry. And that poetry based upon personal opinion.

If it has relevance to you then it is relevant and stands indifferent to anyone else's opinion on the matter.

Perhaps, ... I will consider your position.
I can write poetry whether good or poor, without much effort, I have done so for over 30 years. I came here to learn to produce different content and to possibly couple what I have already written with relevant content that another might also find enjoyment or entertainment in reading. Broadening my capabilities and hopefully reach others who may find that poetry can be relevant and topical and even fun.
I like to read poetry but not every post and not every poem. So if I can mix my poem in with something perhaps I will achieve this goal a few times.
I did convert the poem to a hub but feel it is less than stellar...*smiles*
