I write articles on several pay sites including Hub. I am consolidating all the articles on one subject thru a new Blog on Blogger - <snipped link>
Does this Blog get the same attention in Google and Yahoo since the articles are not written on this Blog? Is there special SEO needed for this Feeder blog?
If you leave the articles up at hub pages and put them in a blog-it will be deemed duplicate content.
Hub pages has great rankings that will take you a long time to reach with a blog.
Good luck with your ideas, but probably best to put original content in your blog
I am not copying the articles into the blog. Rather I am Posting the article title with a link to the Hub article when clicked. so the Blog contains all links but no original content, which is why I am afraid it won't get any traction in Google.
Peter,
By experience it sounds like you are setting up a micro-back linking system. In my experience, I would recommend simple consolidating each sites article groups into an RSS channel. In blogger, add ad many RSS Widgets you require.
If you use Feed Burner, for revenue generation potential, be sure to name them accordingly. I would strongly recommend submitting those RSS channels from Feed Burner as site maps in Google Web Master Tools to gain that traction.
Getting strictly Hubs into Google can be done via RSS Channels, which does not violate to TOS.
Else, you can post the Title, a few tag words on by one.
In the future, or for new articles you publish, might want to utilize Ping.fm, which enables you to post to 20+ locations with one click.
Hope this helps.
James.
last post but if I rub you can I get an ounce, I mean prince? I gotta ask, love the bike, just got moped cant drive too hard, ughhh!
here it is
now I shall hi-jack no more
TMI syndrome, not my fault
Well it Looks Like You're all stowed away then!
Did you only Open this thread to Plant a Self Promo Link Then??
You seem to know your own answers here... so it would probably be fair to guess that you know the Terms of Your TOS Here!
So Remind Us..... What Does it say about Self Promotional linking?
I won't burden everone with what I want to say to Pearldiver so I will just try this again.
I am writing a bunch of articles about living on the North Fork of Long Island. I also write a lot on Financial Planning. I write all my articles on either Hub, Suite 101 or Associated Content, and might add other writing sites. So each of these writing sites has subjects of both financial planning and North Fork. I wanted to bring all the North Fork articles in one place or blog called North Fork Living, and then encourage friends to Follow the North Fork blog.
I can't use an RSS feed since that would also feed my financial Planning articles into the north fork blog.
So I just copied a link of each NF article into the blog and when clicked, the reader is taken to either the Hub or Suite or AC sites to read the articles.
I am really interested in Hubbers opinions on how to advertise to a targeted audience a set of articles on one subject which are spread across several writing sites, without having that audience have to see all my other unrelated articles. Having the NF blog was an attempt to do this.
Copying the links is fine, even better if you do a short description.
And not sure if this was mentioned but Blogger is owned by Google so it's fairly well noticed by them.
Peter I have three or four Blogger topic sites. When I am promoting a Hub I sometimes promote that Hub by clicking at the bottom of the Hub to the Share Icon & then click on the Blogger promote Icon then when I get to blogger I choose the topic & Post a link to that sites title. Not really sure yet what they have done to my stats. But the stats overall haven't gone down.

First Impressions Were Mutual Mr Owen!
I don't apologize for being direct or accurate in the observation made from the perspective of a mirror! I note that your link has been snipped!
If you were considering thanking me; then you are most welcome
But Please... if the common courtesy of showing appreciation is bashfully hidden within the persona... it would be socially appropriate to extend that courtesy to those who took the time to actually consider you and try to help you.. Don't you think?
Perhaps you may also have noticed that when you actually state your Exact Needs in a forum at HP.. most of the members are more than willing to offer advice... because you are giving the appearance that you respect the offer!
For many others here, we do our best to ensure that our forums are kept SpamFree..
Perhaps prudence would dictate the need to also consider that many spammers, in an attempt to counter the TOS here Do Exactly the same as you! Hide a blatant self promotional or spam link behind what appears to be a genuine post! I'm sure you will gain first hand experience of this during your blogging experience
Before you intimate negativity on my part.. kindly consider the above and also the fact that I did not report your link! Clearly someone else felt the same as I did in regard to the insult!
Good Luck with your venture... There are many articles here that cover your concerns.. it just takes the effort to read them.. but then, that isn't the nature of all the beasts in the world, is it?
uh pearl, I'm lost again mate I swear who is this and what blog when did it play? Can't read just thought of you as I was a-thinking of bringing blake and I out of the closet again yet 2-actually eating a Kiwi which I love to do often and thought of you.
How do I avoid pits though or just let them fall as they may hhmmmmmmmmmmm?

Hi everyone,Since Google's updates these past couple of months, I've noticed a significant traffic drop (about 20%). Every time I gain some traction and hope, it's a case of going back two steps again. I'm sure I'm not alone! I thought it might be a good idea to start a healthy discussion here to...

I have a personal blog, and I was wondering if it's a good idea to write a post where I add reference links to my hubpages articles? Is it a good SEO practice or a bad idea? thanks
