This morning, there was an unbelievable percentage of clicks on my adsense account. As I am an extremely honest person and as I haven't told friends and family what I do, there's no way this came from anyone I know.
So, unless someone just sat there and continuosly clicked one ad because his or her finger got stuck on the keyboard, someone did this purposely.
I have, of course, immediately filled in a click through fraud form and sent it to google.
I've also notified Hub Pages Management.
Any other suggestions?
I think you've done what you can (so far). I feel sick for you. I'd be feeling the same was it me
I hope you get sorted (you've been upfront etc) and nothing untoward happens.
there was a thread about this a while ago - what would someone gain fromthis ?
Does the traffic reflect it? If so you probably don't have to worry.
No, it doesn't. The number is so high that it's highly unlikely to reflect anybody. Someone must have sat there and just clicked ads...
The only way it's possible is if someone was looking at a specific topic I was writing about and then clicked all ads related to that many times each, trying to find something. It's a possiblity, but not a probability.
It might be harmless. Once in awhile a really, really good ad shows up that people go crazy over.
I feel for you right now and hope it get's resolved quickly. It sounds you have done what is expected of you so just sit tight. I am having my own adsense dilema at the moment so I know exactly how you feel.
Take care
Perhaps one of your hubs as gone viral. Look at your Google Analytics if you use it. Do the clicks come from one geographic area? Look at the keywords people are using to get to your site.
This is why I think PCUnix's advice to have several forms of income is a good idea. I think you have done everything you can, Sophia, and wish you well.

I just accidentally clicked on an ad in my own hub! Will Google Adsense ban me for one click?!I'm a little bit freaked out right now. I accidentally clicked on an adsense link in my own hub. Would Google ban me for that one mistake? Have other Hubbers done this by accident and their accounts been...

I accidentally clicked on one of the ads on a Hub of my own tonight--did that one other time, more than a year ago (I think), and that time I went through the whole rigamarole of notifying Google what a bad boy am I. Since then, though, I seem to recall seeing a "post or three"...

What would I do? I accidentally clicked one of the ads when I was editing something. I did not clicked in intentionally.

I have adsense on my own websites and get a check from Google every month. I noticed today that one single click got me $3.08! Is there any way to find out what type of ad it was that got clicked, even the exact ad? I have many that get me over a buck per click. It seems to come down to what your...

I was reading that Google will know if you clicked one of your ads from a different computer with a different IP address. For example, you go to work and go to one of your articles on your work computer and click an ad. It's the same as going to an internet cafe and doing it there, basically. I...

I know we are not supposed to ever click on links in our own hubs, or other people's hubs, either. At least that is my understanding. While I was putting a new photo up on one of my hubs, my finger slipped on the mouse, and off I went to the Amazon product I was linking to. Do I need to send an...
