Possible Click Through Fraud on my Adsence Account?

This morning, there was an unbelievable percentage of clicks on my adsense account. As I am an extremely honest person and as I haven't told friends and family what I do, there's no way this came from anyone I know.

So, unless someone just sat there and continuosly clicked one ad because his or her finger got stuck on the keyboard, someone did this purposely.

I have, of course, immediately filled in a click through fraud form and sent it to google.

I've also notified Hub Pages Management.

    Any other suggestions?

Hey Sophia, hope you get this sort out! Maybe there is a particular ad that people really liked and click on. However, you did the right thing by contacting Google hopefully they can get it sort out and you be okay! Stay bless and hopeful! smile

I think you've done what you can (so far). I feel sick for you. I'd be feeling the same was it me sad

I hope you get sorted (you've been upfront etc) and nothing untoward happens.

Getting me kicked off hub pages?
      Getting Adsense to ban me?

One offends people in the course of writing. Some like vengeance.

Does the traffic reflect it? If so you probably don't have to worry.

No, it doesn't. The number is so high that it's highly unlikely to reflect anybody. Someone must have sat there and just clicked ads...

The only way it's possible is if someone was looking at a specific topic I was writing about and then clicked all ads related to that many times each, trying to find something. It's a possiblity, but not a probability.

It might be harmless. Once in awhile a really, really good ad shows up that people go crazy over.

I feel for you right now and hope it get's resolved quickly. It sounds you have done what is expected of you so just sit tight. I am having my own adsense dilema at the moment so I know exactly how you feel.

    Take care

Perhaps one of your hubs as gone viral. Look at your Google Analytics if you use it. Do the clicks come from one geographic area? Look at the keywords people are using to get to your site.

This is why I think PCUnix's advice to have several forms of income is a good idea. I think you have done everything you can, Sophia, and wish you well.

Thank you, Thomas. I think PCUnix is a very bright lad. However, I'm not that bright when it comes to several forms of income. I am so bad at it, it's unbelievable! smile
